Altra Escalante Racer 2 Women

Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. Midsole

The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam. This foam is specially designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, regardless of the distance. It is a slightly harder foam with good energy return. The Escalante Racer has a Standard FootShape™ fit, which does not restrict the movement of the foot, but still fits comfortably around the foot. The foam has Innerflex™ technology. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces the weight and dramatically increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides flexibility and breathability in strategic areas while providing a tighter fit in other areas. The shoe is fitted around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel. This upper features Altra's Fit4Her™ technology, which accommodates the unique shape of a female foot, which includes a narrower heel and midfoot, higher instep, longer arch, and unique midfoot spacing.

Outsole

The shoe's rubber outsole provides good grip and traction while running. The outsole features FootPod™ technology.
