Altra Escalante Racer 2 Women

The Altra Escalante Racer 2 is designed for runners who want to get the most out of their training and races. Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. Midsole

The midsole features a slightly harder foam with good energy return. This foam has been specially developed to provide you with the most comfort during your run, regardless of the distance. The Escalante Racer has the Standard FootShape™ fit. This fit gives the foot enough space to move naturally. The Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the foam. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces the weight and dramatically increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides support in strategic areas around the midfoot and has high breathability in the forefoot. Altra's Fit4Her™ technology allows the shoe to adapt to the unique shape of the female foot, which has a narrower heel and midfoot, as well as a higher instep, a longer arch and a unique midfoot offset.

Outsole

The shoe's rubber outsole provides good grip and traction while running. The outsole features FootPod™ technology.
