Midsole

With its Standard FootShape™ fit, the Escalante offers enough space for the foot to move naturally. The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam. This foam is specially designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, regardless of the distance. It is a slightly harder foam with good energy return. The Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the foam. This is the grid of slots that cut through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This makes the shoe lighter and more flexible without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

A knitted upper allows the material to stretch in all directions with the foot and provides a high level of breathability. This upper features Altra's Fit4Her™ technology, making it suitable for the unique shape of a female foot, with a narrower heel and midfoot, a higher instep, a longer arch and a unique metatarsal distance.

Outsole
