Midsole

The Escalante has a Standard FootShape™ fit, which does not restrict the movement of the foot, but still fits comfortably around the foot. The midsole is made from Altra's EGO™ foam, which is designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, no matter how far you run. It is a slightly harder foam that returns sufficient energy efficiency. Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the midsole. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces weight and significantly increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

A knitted upper allows the material to stretch in all directions with the foot and provides a high level of breathability.

Outsole
