The shoe is lightweight and quite simple. No complicated technologies have been applied. Less is more, a reliable, comfortable running shoe.

The upper is made of breathable mesh material. Reinforcing pieces have been added to the mesh upper so that the shoe offers more support. The heel is slightly narrower than with the SolarGlide 4. The heel fits better to again offer more support. It is made of X-hatch tactics, a breathable material to improve breathability. The optimized cushioning in the collar and tongue of the shoe provides more comfort and a superior step-in feel. The upper is made from recycled materials and plastic.

The midsole contains the new 'Bubble Boost' material. This material provides more energy return, cushioning and comfort than the other Boost material. With every step you take, the cushioning material absorbs the impact and converts that impact into energy. You get that energy back with your sales. Together with the light weight, this gives an energetic feeling while walking. The Continental outsole is designed for maximum grip where you need it while rolling off the foot. In some places more or less rubber has been placed for the perfect settlement. The outsole has extra studs for better grip on unpaved paths.

Note: this is the GTX version, in short, a trail shoe with a Goretex upper that is completely waterproof and offers protection against rain and mud.
