Midsole

Lightweight cushioning with increased energy return is provided by the Lightstrike 2.0 and Lightstrike Pro foams. With this combination of foam materials, the Adizero Boston can be used during tempo training and competitions. Lightstrike 2.0 ensures more stability and good contact with the ground with every step you take, while Lightstrike Pro ensures high energy return. The adidas Adizero Boston is equipped with EnergyRods 2.0, which are carbon tubes. The Energy Rods in the outsole mirror the metatarsal bones and thus follow the anatomy of the forefoot. These reduce energy loss at toe-off. This maximizes energy return and ensures an explosive push-off to the forefoot.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides support in strategic places around the midfoot and has high breathability in the forefoot. adidas also uses 50% recycled materials in the upper to reduce its impact on the environment.
