The upper is very breathable. You can literally see the perforations. The forefoot is quite wide. Do you have slightly wider feet? Especially for a competition shoe, the RC Elite v2 has quite some padding around the collar and heel. This gives you almost the comfort of a training shoe for everyday use, but still the performance of a competition shoe.

The Elite v2 has more foam in the FuelCell midsole, which increases the forefoot and heel height a bit. The offset decreases slightly and goes from 10 mm to 8 mm. The increased volume in the midsole provides more cushioning, which is especially beneficial when running long distances. Fatigue in the legs when running at a high pace over a long distance is thus slightly delayed. Fresh legs for longer.

The carbon plate in the midsole of the RC Elite v2 has a more wavy shape. The plate in its predecessor was flatter, because the midsole was less thick. The thicker midsole in the RC Elite v2 allows for a higher differential to be given to the carbon plate. This gives a more aggressive and faster feeling. It seems like the shoes are pushing you forward while running. The competition shoes have become slightly heavier, but you don't notice this thanks to the forward thrusting feeling. The rubber under the forefoot has been redesigned, but still provides sufficient grip.
