The Dual Density CMEVA midsole features foam which has a higher density at the forefoot. This ensures a responsive and energetic feel during take-off. The heel features a foam with a low density which ensures a soft landing and effective cushioning during landing phase.

The outsole of High Abrasion Rubber has a long lifespan thanks to its high durability. The outsole also provides a lot of grip and traction on wet as well as dry surfaces. The lugs in the outsole bite into the dirt to ensure grip. Four spike pins have been added to the forefoot to provide extra grip. The HOKA EVO XC Spike is responsive enough for running shorter distances and gives enough cushioning for longer distances.
