We offer a wide variety of running shoes, each with its own characteristics. Then how to know in what one model is different from another? To help you with this, we at 21Run present the Expert Opinion. This helps you get insight into the different characteristics of specific running shoe models.
The Expert Opinion is the way in which our running experts rate the model on a number of important elements. Do you already know which characteristics your new running shoes should have? Use the Expert Opinion to check if they meet your demands.
Degree of Pronation
The degree of pronation indicates the extent to which a model provides support for overpronating runners. If the orange bar is on the far right, the model gives a high degree of correction. If the orange bar is on the far left, the model does not correct. Neutral runners don’t need a correction, overpronating runners often do need a certain degree of correction.
Level of Support
The support level indicates to what extent the shoe provides support. This is related to the weight of the runner. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe provides little support, making the shoe more suitable for lighter runners. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe gives a lot of support, making the shoe very suitable for heavier runners.
Level of Cushioning
The cushioning level indicates the extent to which the shoe absorbs shocks that occur during landing phase. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe provides little cushioning. When wearing running shoes that provide little cushioning, you experience a lot of ground contact and responsiveness. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe provides a lot of cushioning. When wearing shoes with a lot of cushioning you will experience a softer running feel, but less ground contact and less responsiveness.
Level of Responsiveness
The level of responsiveness indicates how energetic a running shoe feels. We also call this the degree of reactivity. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe is less responsive. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe is very responsive. When a shoe is responsive you get back the energy you put into your stride during take-off phase.
The Saucony Ride ISO 2 for women are comfortable, neutral running shoes. These 12th and latest editions of Saucony's popular ride series has undergone a few changes.
The largest update is found in the shoes' upper. The old mesh material has been replaced with Engineered Double Jacquard Mesh which offers more stability to and protection of the feet. Additionally, the forefoot and the toes have been given a bit more space. This adds to the shoes' comfort. The Engineered Double Jacquard Mesh also keeps the feet cool and comfortable. The ISOFIT and FORMFIT technologies also found in the shoes' predecessor are also employed in this newest version of the shoe. A difference between the two versions is found in their width, the Ride ISO 2 has a wider fit than its predecessor.
The midsole is made of one layer of EVERUN cushioning material and one layer of PWRFOAM. This combination makes the shoes very durable and very responsive. It provides a light feel with the right amount of cushioning. The PWRFOAM layer has become 2mm thicker which ensures even more comfort when running. The Tri-Flex outsole has become a bit thinner which ensures that the offset is similar to that of the Ride ISO. Added to the forefoot is Crystal Rubber. This rubber has a longer life-span and offers a high energy return during your runs.
