Expert Opinion
We offer a wide variety of running shoes, each with its own characteristics. Then how to know in what one model is different from another? To help you with this, we at 21Run present the Expert Opinion. This helps you get insight into the different characteristics of specific running shoe models.

The Expert Opinion is the way in which our running experts rate the model on a number of important elements. Do you already know which characteristics your new running shoes should have? Use the Expert Opinion to check if they meet your demands.

Degree of Pronation
The degree of pronation indicates the extent to which a model provides support for overpronating runners. If the orange bar is on the far right, the model gives a high degree of correction. If the orange bar is on the far left, the model does not correct. Neutral runners don’t need a correction, overpronating runners often do need a certain degree of correction.

Level of Support
The support level indicates to what extent the shoe provides support. This is related to the weight of the runner. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe provides little support, making the shoe more suitable for lighter runners. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe gives a lot of support, making the shoe very suitable for heavier runners.

Level of Cushioning
The cushioning level indicates the extent to which the shoe absorbs shocks that occur during landing phase. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe provides little cushioning. When wearing running shoes that provide little cushioning, you experience a lot of ground contact and responsiveness. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe provides a lot of cushioning. When wearing shoes with a lot of cushioning you will experience a softer running feel, but less ground contact and less responsiveness.

Level of Responsiveness
The level of responsiveness indicates how energetic a running shoe feels. We also call this the degree of reactivity. If the orange bar is on the far left, the shoe is less responsive. If the orange bar is on the far right, the shoe is very responsive. When a shoe is responsive you get back the energy you put into your stride during take-off phase.

Description ASICS Gel Cumulus 19 Men

The ASICS Gel Cumulus 19 for men are neutral running shoes. The improved overlays and new SpEVA 45 midsole deliver comfort and shock dissipation, making it a comfortable shoe for neutral runners running medium to long distances. The Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.

The seamless upper influences the shoe's size and we therefore advise you to order half a size up.

Technologies:
SpEVA N-Solyte
Lightweight EVA midsole material enhances the bounce back and diminishes midsole degradation.

Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.)
Design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.

FluidRide
This new midsole technology provides bounce back and responsiveness, utilizing organic super fibers to help reduce packing out that traditionally happens with softer, low density foams.

Guidance Trusstic
This system integrates Guidance Line construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.

Guidance Line
Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.

Rearfoot and Forefoot Gel Cushioning System
Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
