The Nike Zoom Vaporfly Next% 2 aims to continue this success story. The second version of the Vaporfly is a neutral running shoe that provides the best energy return of all Nike shoes to date.
The upper material has been redesigned and the mesh material now ensures even better ventilation. The laces are fitted through the wings and ensure that you don’t need any extra support around the foot arch. Thanks to this design the shoe is even lighter than the previous version. Next to that, the new mould also reduces pressure on the Achilles tendons.
ZoomX + Carbon
The ZoomX foam combined with a full-length carbon plate ensures excellent energy return. The carbon plate gives a forward-facing feel and stimulates a smooth transition. The ZoomX foam ensures a light, responsive experience.
Any Underground
An internal foam pod is placed in the heel area, which provides comfortable cushioning without weighing down the shoe. The deep grooves in the outsole help you achieve optimal performance on different surfaces and in changing conditions.
The original
The “OG” version of the Vaporfly NEXT% 2 pays homage to the first Vaporfly with which Eliud Kipchoge ran his first Breaking2 project. In cooperation with Nike, Kipchoge tried to break the magical marathon limit of 2 hours for the first time back in 2017. Eliud missed his target by only 26 seconds. But with the lessons learned and his incredible motivation Eliud knew to achieve his dream two years later, in October 2019 when he crossed the finish line in a time of 1:59:40.
