It is not without reason that the Pegasus is known as the most versatile running shoe in Nike’s collection. This year, the model does it again. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 is designed for neutral runners and for running long as well as short distances at different speeds.
As the Air Zoom Pegasus is one of Nike’s best-selling models, no drastic changes are made to new editions of the model. The 38th edition isn’t an exception, it offers that same level of comfort that has become a defining characteristic of the Pegasus. What has changed is the forefoot of the shoe, Nike gives the toes a bit more space. What’s more, the upper is made of mesh material, which provides excellent ventilation while running and stretches with the feet.
The light Nike React Foam is very resilient. The Pegasus 38 features more foam than its predecessor, thanks to which the shoe provides better cushioning. To generate even more springiness, the Pegasus 38 also includes a Zoom Air unit. This unit is placed closer to the foot for a more responsive feel. To absorb the pressure under the foot as optimally as possible the Air Unit is made gender-specific. Of course, Nike has kept the weight of the midsole low, which means that this 38th version of the Pegasus also provides that light feel.
