The Cloudboom Echo comes with a speedboard. This is a liquid-injected thermoplastic polymer sheet that is placed between the CloudTec midsole and the upper. This stiff plate can be found in several On models, but in the Cloudboom Echo it is reinforced with carbon. This gives you a high level of responsiveness while running. The shape of the sole also contributes to this. The curvy sole design allows your feet to roll through transition faster and help you really pick up your pace.
The characteristic On “clouds”, also know as the CloudTec technology, can be clearly seen in the midsole. These clouds attenuate both horizontal and vertical shocks and ensure a soft landing. As soon as your feet hit the ground, the clouds stay securely in place, so you can move forward with a powerful push. Two layers have been added to the Cloudboom Echo. As a result, this new model offers even softer cushioning when landing on the heel.
